In memory of Professor Steen Lichtenberg

We were very sorry to hear that our dear friend and mentor, Professor Steen Lichtenberg, passed away peacefully in his sleep earlier in March 2019.

Without Steen there would be no Futura, so it is hard to overstate his influence on all our Futura network colleagues and their customers.

He will be remembered as the most humble professor that you could hope to meet, always happy to share his great experience and insights to anyone who would ask.

He was a prolific author, both of papers for meetings of the Scandinavian Project Management Institute, as well as his book on “Proactive Management of Uncertainty using the Successive Principle”.

Many project managers owe him a great deal of gratitude for the insights and help that they have received through using the Lichtenberg Method to analyse and manage risk effectively. The Lichtenberg Method was truly ahead of its time, particularly in harnessing the skills of multi-disciplinary teams for analysing risk and uncertainty.

Our thoughts go out to his family and friends.
May he rest in peace.

Peter, Pekka, Erling

From one of many, great meetings with had with Bente and Steen.
